Kessia’s Site |

Kessia was a caring, sweet and funny seven year old who was the delight of all who knew her. She loved to swim, climb trees, dance, joke, cook, draw, laugh… all the things kids love to do. She made our hearts melt and lit up our lives with her brightness. Shortly after returning from living in Vanuatu for three years, Kessia became sick in August 2002 and a month later was diagnosed with an untreatable, rare and aggressive form of brain tumour. During Kessia's short illness, we began a web site to keep family and friends in Vanuatu informed of her progress. Over the weeks, the tumour gradually stopped Kessia’s body from functioning. She was unable to eat, drink, speak, walk or move. Kessia died six weeks after her diagnosis. Kessia’s site has grown enormously since then and incorporates a photo gallery, Denise's web diary, details about Kessia's last weeks, her funeral in Canberra and memorial in Vanuatu, and much more. We ask that you visit Kessia's web site to find out about our lovely, sweet daughter and our journey in creating KessiaCare Foundation. Denise and Geoff |
